Will I have to remove Origin to do that and if I do and to reinstall it onto D drive will it work like it should on a new driver. So my computer has an atrociously small memory, so I've had to install and play Sims 3 from my external hard drive. The game itself runs fine, and I've been able to install Sims 3 Pack files just fine, but since I can't save .package files directly to My Documents (no space) they don't seem to be working in the game.

Even if you install The Sims on an external drive, Origin will continue to create the Electronic Arts folder (where CC and Mods reside) in your main drive.
